It has taken up a project of establishing a Food Processing Industry using state-of-the-art technologies in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Our industry will be an agriculture/horticulture produce-based processing unit. It will procure its raw materials – fruits and vegetables, from the local farmers.
The induction of modern technology is intended to make products of export quality. The products in our focus are – Juice, jam, jelly and spread, canned fruits, fruit salad, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, mixed pickles, tomato ketchup, spices and ginger paste, etc. This unit will undertake a wide range of post-harvest processes resulting in value addition and/or enhancing the shelf life of the agricultural produce. It will have specialized facilities required for the preservation of perishables and reducing wastage.
It aims to elevate the income of the farmers by giving them better prices and helping establish a steady avenue for the sale of their produce. It will work towards ending their dependency on the presently unorganized/uncertain market and encourage the farmers to increase their productivity and variety of products.
Also, this unit will create employment for the local people and help in the overall development of the area through various welfare activities. Apni Suvidha
Under project “Apni Suviddha”, it builds toilet blocks at public places, mandis, schools & villages to ensure convenience for females in particular. It has completed a modern toilet block for ladies and gents in Tezu, Lohit District, Arunachal Pradesh. It aims to build 100 individual toilets in the villages and install 100 hand-pumps by the end of the year 2023. The aid is initiated to overcome the hardships of villagers who have to walk over miles to meet their requirement of water.

Mishmi Handicrafts
In March, 2021, The Kamala Agarwal Foundation has joined hands with the Women Self Help Groups of Anjaw District for designing, branding and marketing of “Mishmi Handicraft Products” like bags, laptop bags, rugs, mats, coasters, runners, place mats, etc – hand crafted by Mishmi Women with cotton yarn and waste plastic bags under the Women Empowerment Project & Anti Plastic Campaign started by the then Deputy Commissioner of Anjaw District, IAS Smt Ayushi Sudan. This Anti Plastic Movement has almost reduced the plastic bag garbage and is gradually becoming a mass movement in Anjaw District. This is also empowering the Tribal women residing in the remote and tough hilly terrains of the eastern most district of India, economically and making them self-reliant.
